Q: How do I start a Web Conference?

Q: What features are included in Flat Fee Web Conferencing?

A:  Unlimited Web Conferencing includes all of the most widely used features of more expensive systems. For a complete list of features, click here. Or view the Online Demo.

Q: Do I need to login to the web to set up a web conference and reserve a timeslot?

A: No. you can start the web conference on the fly. Flat Fee Web Conferencing is a reservation-less service, so it is never necessary to reserve a timeslot in advance.

Q: How can I notify participants in advance of how to access a web conference?

A: Since the Participant Code is known to the Host in advance (it is the same for all conferences for a given Moderator Code), conference Hosts can send an email to Participants informing them of the date and time of the conference, along with the Participant Code and a link to the login page.

Q: Is the code for participants fixed for ALL web conferences, or can it be setup by the moderator each time a conference is setup?

A: It's fixed for all conferences.

Q: What is the difference between the Moderator Code and the Participant Code?

A: The Moderator Code is used by the person directing the conference and has a few more features/capabilities than the conference participants. The Participant Code is used by those who you've invited to join your conference. Please refer to the features list for a description of features that the Moderator has access to.

Q: What are the system requirements for the Host?

A: All that is required is a computer that is connected to the Internet running the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.

Q: What are the system requirements for Participants?

A: All that is required is a computer with a Web browser that is connected to the Internet with at least a 56k connection. In order for a Participant to be passed control of the conference for application sharing, they must be using the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser; otherwise they can be using any Java-enabled browser.

Q: Can I record a conference?

A: If you are using the Flat Fee Conferencing audio conferencing service, you can record the voice portion of your conference. As the moderator, press *9 to begin recording. You'll be given a recording code. The recording will stop when you hang up. The other moderator functions will no longer be operable for the duration for the call.

Q: I forgot my Moderator/Participant Code. How can I get a new one?

A: If you have signed up for Unlimited Audio Conferencing, then your Moderator and Participant Codes are the same for both Audio and Web Conferencing.

For security purposes we cannot re-send you your codes. To obtain new codes, send an email to support@flatfeeconferencing.com with your desired new codes and we'll change them for you. You'll be notified by email when your request has been processed - please allow up to 24 hours.

Q: How do I change my Moderator or Participant Code?

A: Send an email to support@flatfeeconferencing.com with your old code and your desired new code and we'll change it for you.  You'll be notified by email when your request has been processed - please allow up to 24 hours.

Q: What is the maximum number of participants that can join a conference?

A: The maximum number of participants is determined by the pricing option you chose. If more participants attempt to join a conference than the level you purchased, they will be denied access. To change your pricing option, call us at 1-800-834-6973.
